Ok first, you need the latest R4 firmware, v 1.18 (as of writing): I only give instructions for the R4 but this works on the M3 simply as well, you just need to get the newest firmware, 1.04. Action replay codes are basically cheats which can help you in the game but it wouldn't change the whole game so it's like a boost in the game and it is accessible in ds game which is also accessible through R4s
